I live with my elderly mother, who I love. I contacted Susan last fall, and she and I worked out her making a robe for my mother as a gift for Christmas. My mother was 89 years old then, and she tends to be chily during the winter here in the Portland area. I could not find the exact robe I wanted at any store or on line. They just did not exist. Stores had a design similar to what I wanted, but not exactly, and the quality was not high enough even at expensive stores where prices were very higher than what I ended up paying Susan for a much superior product! That pleased me very much

I provided Susan with photographs of what sort of robe my mother should have. There were some on line not made of the type of fabric we needed, without pockets, and omitting a nice collar. So, using the photographs and my own and my mother's ideas, and Susan was able to create a design that was perfect.

The robe Susan made is roomy and just the right length so my mother os cozy and pretty and can wear whatever she wants to under it. The pockets are in the exact place my mother finds comfortable for the inevitable facial tissues she uses. The robe snaps open and shut making it so easy to put on and take off. The yoke at the top is very pretty as is the nice collar which adds warmth to an area where my mother is often chilly.

Susan helped us to find the PERFECT fabric in a color my mother loves. It is light, strong, pretty, and warm but not too warm. When I took my mother to see Susan to work out the details and measure and so on, my mother did not realize she needed a robe! However, when she saw what Susan and I were creating for her she got very happy. She was able to get one exactly as she wants it.

As soon as we picked it up from Susan last December, my mother wore it every day from Christmas until mid May when the weather warmed up. We laundered it several times, and it came out as good as new, which was not predicted using the type of fabric available at the expensive stores!

At the beginning of September, my mother was very happy to take it out again, and now she will probably wear it every day until last next spring. Sometimes my mother also uses it as a cover when she lays down to take a nap. As a note, it is soft and our cats love to snuggle up against her. when she naps or on her lap when she sits and works on writing her novel on her computer!

I am extremely happy with Susan's price for this beautiful robe. It was amazing to me to see her level of competence. She was so easy to work with, too. I found her to be a gentle warm soul, and we became friends.

I am writing this without telling Susan I am going to do it. It is one way to thank her for the wonderful help
